Dr. Fernando Bauer is an internationally respected gynecologist and obstetrician who specializes in detecting and treating all diseases related to the reproductive system and women’s health. Since 1993 and until today with high-tech instrumentation and exams, Dr. Bauer has earned his reputation as being one of the most experienced and dedicated health professionals in Guatemala. He also serves as chief of the maternity and Ob-Gyn departments of Hospital El Pilar. 

Dr. Bauer has been invited to participate as a professor and instructor at several national symposiums and conventions in the U.S. and Europe, discussing topics such as cervical cancer, pre- and post- menopause, hormone therapy, high-risk pregnancy, endometriosis, and urinary incontinence. He studies the latest developments in pharmaceutical medications from Merck and Novartis, for example. Dr. Bauer is an officially recognized medical member of the United Nations, UNICEF, and World Health Organization – WHO.
